About Mitch Chemers
My name is Mitch Chemers and I'm a sign veteran who has brought my experience to land use in the effort to help protect sign rights. Starting hands-on in 1988 in sign installation, production, design and then management, I ultimately saw that permitting was a growing issue. So I started a permit service in 2004 that quickly grew into a land use service, largely due to the extensive and changing requirements necessary to obtain permits and design review approvals and entitlements. I was one of the few industry professionals to consistently advocate for signage throughout California and established myself as a signage problem solver.
I'm grateful to work with the assistance of a number of experienced and skilled researchers, runners and layout professionals as well as a wide network of associates. These professionals work in various industries and municipalities, at differing levels of capacity and connectivity and are all just as dedicated as I am to protecting sign rights for nationwide and local businesses, making work easier for sign companies, land use consultants, architects and design firms.
I continue to focus my current efforts on solving signage issues with simple but thorough exhibits, surveys and project management. My standards have not diminished and I strive to provide the most complete and ethical service possible.
